We decided to visit Ely on our way back from Cambridge and glad we did as it's a charming city. We didn't have the time to go into the cathedral and besides the Sunday congregation was in full flow.
I spotted a few interesting things whilst we were exploring Ely such as a series of plaques that depicted stories from the history of the city and a project known as the "City of Ely Perspective" and I had to look it up when I got back home later that evening. You can read about it here

I certainly wish to go back in order to take a look inside the cathedral and spend more time doing some photography and video there. It would be interesting to find more of the perspective plaques too, maybe there is a history trail to follow?
