Meon Shore

A group of gulls gather on the shore

I am digging into my archives again for this one. I have just setup the brilliant LR/WP plugin for WordPress and have begun uploading some previously unpublished photos.

Last year, would have been late Summer we visited the closest locations on the coast to where we live and this particular spot is on the Hampshire coast. We had visited the Titchfield Haven Cafe to buy a couple of take-away coffees and stopped for a little while on the quayside. I photographed the gulls and later when editing this photo, realised there were two other species in the photo.

On the top we have Black Headed Gulls who have lost their black facial plumage and rapidly switching to winter mode by this point. Down below we have some Plover and what looks like a sleeping Shelduck!
