On the rocks, down at Southsea

Along the seafront at Southsea they have had to construct some defences to protect the sea-wall after it was breached a few years ago in heavy storms. It is a constant battle along our coastline with so many towns being effected as our weather becomes more and more extreme at times.

I was not looking for anything in particular and liked these rocks for their contrasts in colours. I was also interested in how nature has claimed our own artificial creation and how it has become naturalised in this way.
