St Georges

Seemed strange walking through the doors of St Georges today. Nearly quarter of a year ago I first came here and life was different then, more uncertain, daunting and at the same time full of promise of better times. Well thank heavens those dreams came true and I am now fully benefiting and enjoying those better times. I therefore felt very happy to walk through those doors, like seeing a long lost friend but not any old friend; one that had saved my life (along with more than just a little help from my dad).

I came here today to have my second echo test on my heart, the first of which I had the day before my transplant. The purpose of these tests to aid a countrywide survey into the effects of transplantation on the heart.

Delighted to say mine is fine!
